A log is created every time the ReSOFT client detects an event or performs a task. Logs are very small, on average around 2 to 4 Kbytes. Logs are transmitted as SSL transactions to the ReSOFT server. They are sent to the event log management facility on the server as soon as they are generated if the HTTPS port (443) is open and the local system has a working connection to the server (any type of connection via the Internet or other network). The HandsFree Networks server could be located practically anywhere as long as it has an accessible IP address.

The event log management facility is the HandsFree Networks technology component used for management and administration of HandsFree Networks solutions, and the support and management processes. It has four major modules:

The event log management facility includes more than 200 SQL query filters. They are used to retrieve informative and actionable support events. Query filters serve as the foundation for notifications and reports. They are used by notifications to retrieve events support specialists want to be notified about, and by reports to select the events or actions a support provider wants to track or report on. Query filters can be easily modified or new ones created.
